Skills & Strenghts
Proficient with Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Lightroom and Adobe InDesign.
I have been working with these programs for over 7 years. There have been many changes over this time and I have kept myself up to date with all of the software updates as soon as they have been rolled out, which is evident in my work.
Proficient with both Mac and PC.
Over the years I have worked with both Mac and PC operating systems and I am confident using both.
Proficient with Adobe Premiere Pro and iMovie — video and audio editing.
I'm only new to Adobe Premier Pro but it has the same feel as other programs I have used and I have a good understanding and confidence using it. Just recently I produced a 3 minute short story for which I achieved a High Distinction.
Proficient with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
I have been using these programs since primary school, throughout TAFE and University. Over the years I have created many assignments and reports, slide presentations, spread sheets and am a confident user.
Managing time efficiently.
I study full time and work over 32 hours a week. I strive to keep myself fit and be well organised in order to manage my time and meet all my deadlines. Over the past three years throughout University this strict focus has proven to be successful and has keep stress to a minimum.
Proficient with DSLR Canon camera.
I have owned a Canon DSLR since the age of 13. My talent with operating a camera is evident with the many and varied examples that can be seen in my Instagram Account. In 2014 I received a Canon Collective Award where I was awarded Third Prize out of thousands of entries.
Can operate Outlook, Gmail and other email accounts.
Using email to communicate with clients and employers.
Proficient with communicating my ideas both visually and verbally.
By having a visual journal it helps to explain my thought process from the very start to the final design and all the steps along the way. I am able to express my views, my feelings and concerns verbally 1 on 1 and in a group environment.
I can think out side of the box which allows me to problem solve efficiently.
I am creative and this allows me to see many results within the same brief. I like to work to the “no mistakes” rule where sometimes something planned just won’t work but this idea isn’t of no value as it can be saved for later. This means finding another way to get the job done – there are always other ways of doing things.
The ability to listen.
I am able to listen and also absorb what is being said and then visualise a solution or an idea in my head.
